The White Toyger
Silver
RomanToygers, along with a handful of other breeders around the world, are working to create a gorgeous WHITE Toyger cat.
In effect, the white Toyger is not really "white" but is technically a silver Toyger.
With careful selective breeding for colour, clarity and contrast, we have created a stunning Toyger that is very reminiscent of the white tiger coloration.
Silver cat genetics are very difficult to work with no matter what the breed. It takes years of dedication, proper selection and a dash of luck to create the crisp white ground colour with the high contrast black patterning.
Currently "white" Toygers are not an accepted colour in TICA to compete for champion titles. We did include silver Toygers in the breed standard for WCF when we had them accepted in Rome, Italy at the Toyger Safari, 2008.
We can however still show our beautiful silver Toygers in the new colour division of TICA. This will help to get this gorgeous new colour accepted in the future and help promote the White Toyger around the world!
